Retinol A Cream

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Another great way you can combat aging and zits is using an ingredient known at retinol A. This is extremely similar to tretinoin in that they are both made from Vitamin A. So you can rest assured that these treatments are a more natural approach using vitamins instead of some scary fake thing that was made in a lab! My quest was to find out what is the best retinol A cream on the market today. I have tried dozens of them and the ones I didn’t try I tried to read a lot about to find out more.

What were my findings? Well the funny thing is that they all seem to work well. This is because they are all using the same ingredient of retinol A which has been proven to work. Did you know that Renova, which is a retinoic acid based cream, is the only one that FDA officials have given an approval for to sell as an effective method to treat wrinkles? It amazes me that more people are using this stuff with that type of endorsement behind it!

Retinol products also help to fade various types of scarring. That includes age spots, acne, and all types of other discolorations. There have even been some people that have used it in conjunction with keloid removal. No one claims that it can remove keloid scars but what some people say is that it can help fade the discoloration you see on small ones, especially after they have been surgically removed. But I’m no dermatologist so it would be best to ask one to find out the truth on this because I could be completely wrong. I’m just relaying things I’ve heard from the grapevine.

Caffeine as an Ingredient to Reduce Dark Under-Eye Circles

Friday, July 31st, 2009

As one of the most effective ingredients in reducing the dark circles which can occur under the eye area due to a lack of moisture and therefore causing bruising within the thin skin under the eye, caffeine is often used within eye creams to plump the area, energizing the area under the eye and reducing the instance of dark circles which are formed. Through the creams which are known to contain caffeine, which are commonly found in top brands of eye creams, dark circles can effectively be reduced through regular use of the cream, which is applied topically, to the under eye area.

Why is caffeine effective in reducing the dark circles which can appear under the eye area? Caffeine, when used as an ingredient which is provided to the skin through a topical application, through the use of an eye cream is a natural anti-inflammatory, which means it can effectively reduce the amount of swelling throughout the under eye area. Wrinkles and dark circles which can form throughout the eye area, especially under the eye, do so because of the swelling which can occur through the thinnest layer of skin. This swelling can lead to puffiness, which leads to bruising. As the area ofthe skin is so thin, these bruises can appear easily and become a regular part of the appearance, which causes the dark under eye circles to form.Through the use of caffeine in eye creams, there are many benefits. Aside from being an effective anti-inflammatory, the caffeine which is present in these eye creams is an effective way to brighten and energize the skin, the exact way that caffeine provides this effect on the body when ingested.Caffeine also has the ability to energize the area underneath the skin, through the inner surface layers of the skin, increasing the blood flow to the under eye area, increasing the appearance of a healthy eye and ensuring that the appearance of the dark under eye circles can be reduced.

What ingredients is caffeine combined with to create an effective eye cream?Although there are various eye creams which are available that have caffeine as the only and main ingredient in the cream, there are many other components which are created through common combinations. One of the most common combinations is green tea and other antioxidants, to remove the harmful components and toxins from the skin which can inflame the eye area, in addition to the swelling caused from dryness. Other ingredients which are often combined with caffeine to create an effective eye cream are high levels of concentrated moisturizers, used to completely hydrate the skin under the eye, which can also be an effective way to reduce the swelling associated with dark under eye circles, thereby creating another  delivery system to eradicate the discoloration. Working together, caffeine and moisture can be an effective way to reduce their appearance drastically.
